At the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, our mission is to improve the quality of life for Delaware's citizens by promoting health, well-being, and healthy behaviors; fostering self-sufficiency; and protecting vulnerable populations.
Part of this mission includes preventing tobacco and e-cigarette use among Delaware youth. Through the Delaware Tobacco Prevention and Control Program, we work with community groups, schools, and anti-smoking organizations to reduce the number of people who start smoking or vaping. The program also includes this website, a telephone quitline, initiatives to prevent sales of tobacco products to minors, and materials that raise awareness of the risks of e-cigarettes .
